Adobe Express makes designing professional business cards quick and easy! In this blogpost, we’ll show you how to create stunning business cards in Adobe Express, perfect for entrepreneurs, freelancers and small businesses.

Step 1: Access Adobe Express

First, go to Adobe Express by typing express.adobe.com in your browser. If you don’t have an account yet, you can sign up for free using your Adobe, Google, or Apple ID. For those with an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, you’ll have access to even more premium features.

Step 2: Creating a New Business Card

Once you’re logged in, click on ‘Create New’ to start a fresh design. Please note, business cards in the UK have a standard size of 85 x 55mm. If you’re designing for another region, check the local dimensions. Alternatively, if you want a ready-made design, simply search ‘Business Card’ in the template library.

Adobe Express offers a variety of pre-made business card templates that you can customise instantly. If you prefer to start from scratch, you can do that too! However, let’s pick a modern, minimalist template and customise it to match our brand.

Step 4: Customising the Business Card

Let’s start by modifying the text to match our business details. Click on any text box to edit the content. You can change the font, size, color and spacing using the right-side panel. Let’s use a modern font like Poppins or Montserrat for a sleek look.

Adding a Logo

A business card should reflect your brand, so let’s upload a high-resolution logo. Simply click on the add plus button then upload and add your logo file.

Changing Background Colour

You can change the background colour to match your brand identity. Adobe Express allows you to use preset colours or enter your own custom hex code for precise branding. Here we will be adding an image as a background along with showing you how the colour can be changed.

Adding Icons & Shapes

To make contact details stand out, let’s add some icons. Click on ‘Elements’, then search for ‘phone’ or ‘email’ and place them neatly next to the text.

Step 5: Using Adobe's Branding Tools

One of the great features of Adobe Express is the Brand Kit feature. This is a premium feature but if you have this set up, you can easily apply your pre-saved fonts, colours and logo with a single click! This is perfect for businesses that want consistent branding across all marketing materials.

Step 6: Adding a QR Code

Want to make your business card interactive? You can add a QR code linking to your website, LinkedIn profile, or portfolio! You can upload your own QR code or use the built in add-ons to generate one for you. Install an add-on and customise it to your liking. 

Step 7: Checking Alignment & Final Touches

Before we save our design, let’s check alignment. Adobe Express provides smart guides to ensure everything is perfectly aligned. Just drag and adjust elements until they snap into place.

Step 8: Export & Download your Design

Now that our business card design is complete, it’s time to download! If you’re printing the card, choose PDF for the highest quality. If you need a digital version for social media or email signatures, go for PNG or JPG. If you plan to print professionally, make sure to check your printer’s bleed settings and keep all important text within the safe margin!
